Tips to Maximize Your YouTube Earnings
- ✓ Target high-CPM niches — Finance, tech, and business content earns 5–20x more per view than entertainment or gaming. A 100K-view finance video can earn more than a 1M-view gaming video.
- ✓ Focus on US, UK, CA audiences — CPM in Australia ($36) and the US ($32) is 40–100x higher than India ($0.83) or Pakistan ($0.36). Optimize titles and thumbnails for English-speaking audiences.
- ✓ Keep viewers watching — YouTube rewards high watch time and retention. A video with 70% average retention earns more than the same video at 30% retention due to more ad impressions.
- ✓ Upload consistently — The algorithm favors channels that upload regularly. Weekly uploads outperform sporadic posting in long-term growth.
- ✓ Use end screens and cards — End screens can push 10–15% of viewers to watch another video, doubling your per-viewer revenue.
- ✓ Build an email list — Email subscribers are immune to algorithm changes. Use your YouTube channel to drive signups to a newsletter for long-term monetization flexibility.
